Lose Belly Fat the Healthy Way for Women

It’s extremely common to magazine ads, commercials, and marketing on the internet that promised to lose fat in some extreme manner. For a lot of us, we don’t want to undertake some extreme or unhealthy method just to get rid of some extra tummy flab. How can women reduce belly fat the healthy way? Without gimmicks or following some potentially dangerous process?

Get the Calories Under Control

The fact of the matter is, most of fat loss comes down to diet and not exercise. It doesn’t matter if you’re working out like crazy, if you’re eating too many calories, the fat isn’t going to come off.

From a fat loss perspective, the total calories that you consume each day matters. If that number is lower than what you expend, fat loss will occur, and the belly will shrink.

Yes, certain foods are better for your health. Losing belly fat is better for your health. However, the two aren’t always aligned. You can eat pizza everyday, and if your total calories are low, fat loss will happen. Not healthy in the slightest, but the fat loss goal is achieved.

Now, we want to lose this stomach flab, while going about it in a healthy way. As such, we will need to have our diet and exercise on point, and not take any extreme measures during the process.

Figuring Out the Calories, Figuring Out the Pace

There is a pretty standard rule that says if you keep multiply your target body weight by 10-12, that is how many total calories you should consume for fat loss.

I’ve used that in the past. It works, but I think we should be more specific, in order to gradually reduce the tummy.

I like to use an app to help me calculate and keep track of things. It’s so much easier and we can set the pace that we want. I use a fitness app called, MyNet Diary Pro. Though, there are many online or on your phone that you can use for free or for a small fee.

With these apps, you type in the stats about yourself, that it asks for. So, weight, age, activity level, etc. You get to choose a pace of weight loss, which is usually set to 1-2 lbs per week ( 1 kg = 2.2 lbs).

I would aim for 2 lbs per week. It’s fast enough to see results rather quickly, while not being so fast that you’ll be miserable. When you get into trying to hit 3-5 lb targets (outside of extreme obesity), you can start to feel quite run down…because you’re running on less energy and generally working out more.

Once you’ve done this, you will have your daily target of calories. If you stick to the target, you’ll lose belly fat. All you need to do is to input what you eat and estimate calories burned from exercise.

No need to stress. Apps make it very easy and most popular foods are already saved on there. Just type it in, select an amount, and save it for the day.

What to Eat for a Healthy Belly Fat Loss Plan?

It’s difficult and near impossible to have a one size fits all approach to diet. After all, we each have our own allergies, preferences, and foods we either do or do not respond well to.

While that is true, we also all kind of already know what foods aren’t good for us. Obviously, things loaded with added sugars, processed foods, and too much salt isn’t going to be things we should consume a lot of.

For instance, if you eat meat, stick to grilled or roasted versus anything deep fried. Common sense.

Eat veggies, fruits, legumes, whole grains (if you can handle them). The main thing is to get plenty of nutrients and keep your portions in line with what you’re allotted in calories each day.

Some people like to manipulate carbohydrate intake or do some other type of specific diet. That’s fine, you might do so for health reasons, but it isn’t a requirement for pure fat loss. I’ve lost 30+ lbs before, without being on any special plan. I ate a pretty healthy mix of things (with some light junk food scattered in). Still got results.

Is it really that easy? Well, it’s that simple. The process actually isn’t complicated. However, the mental and physical side of fat loss can definitely be a challenge.

Exercise for Losing Stomach Flab

Most of the results will come from your diet. The exercise is there for health, adding strength/muscle, speeding up the process, giving you a bit more wiggle room with total daily calories.

I do weights and cardio. That fits with my goals. When I want to lose fat, I’ll up the cardio and tighten up on the diet.

If you just want to lose belly fat and have no real body sculpting goals beyond that, then, just do whatever exercise you want to. Walking, biking, running, swimming, or anything really. Just stay within your caloric limits and you’ll hit your goal.

If you want to speed things up, really get into good cardiovascular shape, and have a plan fully laid out for you to do it…

I use a program called Visual Impact Cardio. For years, whenever I’ve needed to lose fat, I’ve done another cycle of this with great results.

It is an ebook course, designed by fitness trainer Rusty Moore, and it works like a charm!

It’s actually, 3 programs, wrapped in 1. From beginner to advanced.

Split into 3 phases, each lasts for 8 weeks. However, you might only need to do the beginner program, if you have about 20lbs or less to lose.

It’s an intense program, but it burns a lot of calories and the fat loss is fantastic. The best part is, that it lays out the entire plan for you, and explains why you’re doing the workouts, in this way.

One day will be shorter and higher intensity, the next will be a mix, and then another will be a long steady state cardio day. Just follow the plan and keep your diet in check.

When I use this program, with a tight diet, the flab shrinks away crazy fast.

Visual Impact Cardio is an ebook program, so, it gets emailed to you for download right away. That way, you can get started immediately, and don’t need to wait around for something in the mail.

It’s currently priced at only $37. You get a 60 day money back guarantee and a full six months of workouts laid out for you. So, you can keep the fat off, and keep coming back whenever you need to tone back up.

I do receive a commission, if you decide to purchase, but this is the program that I use for fat loss and have for years now. So, I absolutely believe in its results.
